Welcome to WiMAXTrax.com!

Please check out my new blog:
GovTech.com - Digital Communities - Broadband Nation

My brother and I have created this blog as a pre-cursor to obtain advice, input, and suggestions as to what type of applications and features users, publishers, musicians, and labels would like to have access to through the WiMAXTrax.com portal.

We are both musicians and play out solo or with other vocalists with our own arrangements of many different song styles and genres. When the digital era hit we immediately jumped onboard and created our own backing tracks for when we would gig.

There are some mp3 sample tracks in the right hand navigation.

We also have digitally collaborated on arrangement of songs, laid a few solos down for other musician’s originals, sold our own tunes. And my brother Tim was the voice over for Darth Vader (only kidding :).

We have also been following very closely the new WiMAX broadband wireless technologies that are now soft launching in several cities all over the Country.

As I researched this, WiMAX applications started to pour out of my brain. You know... the usual stuff:

• Downloads/Uploads of Music/Video

That’s it! .... I'm only kidding! We have a long list of bullet points that would introduce a multitude of really cool applications and features that would be available through WiMAXTrax.com, but rather than list them, we want your input. Some of the things we just mentioned in the introduction may give you some good ideas.

Warning: !! Any ideas totally out of the realm of possibility will be given considerably more attention !!

Seriously, we both believe that the music industry and particularly distribution channels will be undergoing considerable changes and consolidation over the next 5 to 10 years... and beyond. We really want your thoughts on the increased role digital access will have on our society, how digital media should be distributed, and innovative use of Digital Rights Management (DRM) in conjunction with large scale broadband wireless networks coming soon to a city near you.
